Our re-creation of the route is using DEM data gathered from a US river that closely resembles the Fraser River (since Canadian DEM data costs $600 or more per DEM set). It is the route of the West Coast Express (real-life) inter-urban commuter rail service that operates along CP Rail trackage from Mission to Waterfront. Our route covers a 70 mile east-west corridor that hugs the Fraser River and Burrard Inlet for most of the route.
